Academics

Our Curriculum

A balanced secondary education from JSS 1 to SSS 3, preparing students for BECE, WAEC, NECO and JAMB, and for life beyond school.

Committed to Academic Excellence

Since 1996, Tai Solarin Federal University of Education International School (TASFUEDIS) has given students in Ijebu-Ode a strong academic foundation. Our curriculum follows the Nigerian national curriculum for secondary schools, delivered by dedicated teachers in a disciplined and supportive environment.

We guide every student from the first day of JSS 1 through to the final examinations of SSS 3. We are committed to producing well-rounded young people: confident, disciplined, and ready for higher education.

Beyond the classroom, students take part in academic competitions and school programmes. These include the annual Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu Mathematics Competition, hosted by TASFUEDIS for schools across the area.

Junior Secondary — Foundation Years

JSS 1 through JSS 3

The Junior Secondary years build a strong foundation across core subjects. Students develop good study habits, sound reasoning, and clear communication as they move from primary school into secondary education.

Our teachers combine classroom instruction with practical activities. Students gain knowledge in the sciences, mathematics, languages and the arts, and discover where their strengths and interests lie.

At the end of JSS 3, students sit the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which prepares them for entry into Senior Secondary School.

Senior Secondary — Excellence Years

SSS 1 through SSS 3

In Senior Secondary, students choose a path that matches their goals: Sciences, Arts/Humanities, or Commercial studies (confirm the departments with the school). Teaching is focused, and each student is guided toward the right subject combination for their future course of study.

SSS 3 students prepare for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the NECO Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), and the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for university admission.

TASFUEDIS has a proud record in these examinations. Each year we celebrate our best performers. In 2019, our top student scored 308 in the JAMB UTME.

Beyond the Classroom

Competitions, programmes & community

Learning at TASFUEDIS doesn't stop at the classroom door. We believe competitions, events and activities build confidence, teamwork and leadership.

Each year TASFUEDIS hosts the Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu Mathematics Competition. Young mathematicians from schools in the area compete and showcase their talents. Our Post Examination Entertainment Programme (PEEP) gives students a chance to unwind, compete and celebrate at the end of each term's examinations.

Our graduates remain part of the TASFUEDIS family through the TASFUEDIS National Alumni Body, inaugurated in December 2020. They continue to support the school and inspire current students.
